Executive Director

Job Description

YCVB is seeking a fulltime Executive Director to lead a dynamic organization which provides destination marketing and tourism programs for Yolo County and participating cities. The YCVB provides a full range of information services to tourists and event planners through its web site (www.yolocvb.org), a series of informative brochures and publications, and a one-stop-shop consultation service for event planners.

Qualifications

  • College degree required
  • Three to five years related experience in marketing, promotions, public relations and/or event management
  • Familiarity with local government, business service organizations, the hospitality industry and local attractions
  • Experience in written and oral communications
  • Computer skills

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Supervises a team of employees
  • Develops and manages an annual budget and marketing plan
  • Responsible for marketing materials, website, newsletters and media outreach
  • Maintains effective communications with local government leaders, businesses and local hospitality and tourism representatives
  • Participation in selected tourism trade shows

Funding

The funding of the YCVB is provided by multiple sources:

  • Davis Hotel BID $100,000
  • Woodland Hotel BID $85,000
  • County of Yolo $50,000
  • City of Davis $40,000
  • UC Davis $10,000
  • City of Winters $8,000
  • Total: $293,000
